Reviews. Resources. Specifications.

Thank you all.

June 2016 is my final month with I've tried twice before to wend myself away from doing tests and reviews.

I have enjoyed it tremendously. To anyone considering a similar venture, this is not an easy task. Many hours and days are spent measuring, weighing, disassembling. Mod tests involve using different batteries, different atomizers, variety of coil types and resistance settings, and a lot more. Atomizers (all types) require research before testing, just to protect your own health from the old style plastics and rubber seals.

Throughout the many years I have been doing this, I've met some great people, wonderful vape shop owners and staff, and had many discussions with manufacturers (here in Canada, the US, and throughout Asia).

I find it most satisfying that I, along with many other reviewers, have had a lasting impact on the industry. Reviewers, with the reach of the internet, have effectively forced manufacturers to do the right thing just about every time we raised issues. Glass tanks, silicone seals, organic cotton wicking ... all due to the efforts of the great many reviewers that highly objected to sub-standard plastic, rubber components, silica wicks, and poor mod venting.

I've also had contact with many discount on-line suppliers in Asia -- and I don't recommend a single one. Not one. Their prices appear lower, but when you factor in the amount of time you wait for delivery, poor and non-existent customer support, ineffective warranties and shipping costs, it's often a better value to buy direct locally.

The Asia on-line suppliers will not help you learn how to use your new device. They won't spend the time to understand how you smoked or vape to recommend the right product for you to buy. They won't help you decide on juice strength and can't even recommend a flavor for you to try next.

The vape supply chain outside of Asia is well established. They are your neighbors that have invested to support their passion ... vaping that typically has saved their health and given them new hope to live longer. They used to smoke and know the experience you are going through -- they've been there. Support them so the light in their premises keeps shinning brightly and they can help you again next time you need it.

Lost in many of these support messages for local vape suppliers is the one aspect rarely talked about. When you struggle with that desire to pick up a cigarette (we all do occasionally), drop by your vape supplier and you'll have instant support and a ear that will listen to your struggle.

It's been a pleasure having you drop by and visit The testing and reviews have been a challenge, yet was enjoyable. But, it's now over. At the end of June, I am pretty much in full retirement mode (well, close to it anyhow).

I will leave the site up for reference purposes (there's a few more reviews coming throughout June). I'll consider someone else taking it over, PM or email me.

Thank you.

Looking into eCigs? New to Personal Vaporizers?

Electronic cigarettes are really misnamed. They have nothing to do with cigarettes. We prefer to call them "Personal Vaporizers".

Regardless of the name, personal vaporizers are an excellent alternative to tobacco. Tobacco contains more than 4000 nasty chemicals with at least 70 known carcinogens. If you are like many of us, you didn't really care about that – you just want the nicotine that the tobacco stick delivers. Once the smoke clears (pun intended), that is the bottom line for most.

Whatever your reason to seek out an alternative to tobacco products, is your resource to discover vaporizers, E-liquids, and accessories that work and satisfy. We provide you reviews of eLiquid that you use to simulate smoke and provide flavor and throat hit that are similar to cigarettes; personal vaporizers that look like traditional cigarettes (called Cig-Alikes, we no longer report, test or review these); personal vaporizers that are an "upgrade" with longer lasting batteries; advanced personal vaporizers that offer rich feature sets to enhance flavor; atomizers (those have the heating element that create the vapor to simulate cigarette smoke); and mechanical mods. We'll tell you what works and what doesn't. We will provide the specifications, that is the diameter, height, width, weight, and a sense of feel to help you decide where to spend your hard earned dollars and make sure you end up with a saving from your choice in alternatives to tobacco sticks. Measurements and weights are reported in metric and US standard units.

No need to start with eCigs (or electronic cigarettes, or Cig-Alikes) – those are falling out of favor these days as "Personal Vaporizers" give you more value. Progress at your own pace through Advanced Personal Vaporizers. Once you get adventurous, look through the Mechanicals and *mizers. We have that menu option as *mizers because there are cartomizers, clearomizers, and rebuildable atomizers – all essentially doing the same thing at different convenience levels.

Don't forget one of the most important parts – eLiquid. This is really a difficult section, taste is quite subjective and up to your own taste preferences and sensations. There is a ton of valuable information in defining the ingredients used to make eLiquid. This is going into your body, at least become aware of the main components.

Calculating for a one-pack a day smoker, switching to personal vaporizers as an alternative to tobacco sticks can save over $3100. each year. With that kind of savings, it is worth getting the best personal vaporizers to make sure you have an enjoyable vaping experience.

Enjoy! ... and drop us a note on your progress.

I just wanted to drop you a quick thank you as I found your website a good source of information on healthier living.

Until recently I was a long term smoker and despite the government warnings, hadn’t really thought much about the consequences. However, after a recent cancer scare I knew it was time to tackle my habit head-on. I struggled to go cold turkey and patches weren’t really working – So after a little research online, I found another option – Vaping. I had always thought this was a teenage fad, but after trying it out I have to say it’s been so helpful. I’ve managed to quit tobacco completely and now just use e-liquids to keep the cravings at bay.

Anyway, I found a couple of similar links and think they would be great additions to your list on this page:

I thought I'd return the favour by recommending them so you can add them to your page for the benefit of your visitors.

Many Thanks!

Thanks for all your research on yet another 'problem and resolution'.......

My old e cig, which was not to have either tar or nicotine ..broke, so I am in search of a new one...and you already did the foot work for me :-) My thinking is why change from a regular cigarette to a different style if I am still poisoning myself...duh yup

Also was quite skeptical of e-cigs that were being sold by tobacco companies...kinda thought it was not for health purposes...has to be a 'hook'
